Suze served for nineteen years as Senior Staff Associate and Lead
Trainer for National Training Associates/Youth Empowering Systems,
our predecessor organization based in Sebastopol, CA. She is
coauthor of the book Reviving the Wonder one of the many
programs she has designed and delivered throughout North
America.
For
years, Suze worked as Health Education Consultant and Trainer for
several clinics, chemical dependency treatment facilities, and nonprofit
organizations. While at The Adaptive Learning Center, she designed and ran
a residential program for children unable to live at home while attending school.
Suze has also served as the Clinic Administrator and Health Education Coordinator
for the Commonweal Clinic in Bolinas, California, a nonprofit specializing
in the treatment of children with learning and behavioral diagnoses and
adults living with chronic illnesses.
Suze
has been featured in the video Building Respectful Schools and
Classrooms for her 30+ years of work to improve work and learning
environments. Her focus has been to increase resiliency, emotional intelligence,
and service learning, and to decrease incidents of bullying, rankism, and
harassment to foster academic success and productivity.
Suze
has specialized in unmasking rankism, uncovering the hidden culture of
aggression in women and girls, and illuminating the role of belief systems
to enhance personal and professional wellness. Suze dedicates her work with
youth to the idea that all young people are geniuses, no matter what we
perceive as their roadblocks or difficulties. She believes that it is our
job as adults to inspire and empower youth to leadership, greatness,
and service.
